Porsche’s mid-engine sports-cars, the Boxster and Cayman, underwent a series of changes in the latest versions. The 2017 models are equipped with a brand-new engine (turbocharged!), new design and name change–all of which carry fourth the era of the historic 718. 718: Technical Specs

At the heart of both models you’ll find a newly developed 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged boxer engine. The base models produce 300 racing horses at 6500 rpm and push 0-60 in just 4.9 seconds while the S variant adds 50 hp for a total of 350 horses and sprints from 0-60 in 4.4 seconds. Character 718: Design

The 718 models share an ultra-sporty look with clearly defined contouring and distinctive edges. The front fascia now appears very wide thanks to large air intakes. From the side, you’ll notice large wheel arches and additional air intakes, serving as optimal air supply for the new turbocharged engines. For a more open driving experience, the Boxster’s roof can open in just 9 seconds (up to a speed of 31 mpg.) The 718 models come with an impressive set of standard features including:
